U19 High School Boys Team:
An Aberdeen Parks and rec program. Although nearly every private school fields a rugby team, there are as yet, no rugby teams for public high school players in Harford County. The North Bay Rugby U19 boys team is open to all boys registered in any high school, or home-schooled and of high school age. There are no tryouts or cuts and every registered player plays. We compete in the Potomac Rugby Union High School League against teams from Loyola, Calvert Hall, Mt. St. Joe's, John Carroll, and Archbishop Spalding. In 2007, the boys team traveled to Ireland and received top-notch training by international coaches and played against several select-side Irish teams. Players on our team have been selected to the U19 National team and have traveled abroad representing the United States in international competition. Alumni from our team have been welcomed and celebrated at colleges such as Drexell, University of Delaware, St. Mary's College of Maryland, University of Maryland, Salisbury University, and West Point. Registration begins late in October and practices are indoors at the Arena Club Sports complex. Games begin early in March and continue until the first week in June.
