Youth Rugby Program:

Associated with Aberdeen Parks and Rec., our summer youth rugby program is open to all players, regardless of experience, ages 8-17. It is a coed, non-contact, two-hand touch league. Registration begins in March. Practices begin in mid-May with games starting late in May and continuing until mid-July. All games are played at Aberdeen Middle School. The season culminates with a league tournament. All participants receive a rugby ball, team tee shirt, eight games of rugby, excellent instruction in the basics of the game, a tournament, end of season celebration, and a trophy.

The 2010 Summer Touch Youth League is at capacity and we are currently taking names for the waiting list. If you played last year, you will be sent an email asking if you'd like to play again. This will happen the first week in March. If you've never played before and would like to, please contact Ellen Hickey (ellieirish@verizon.net), the Youth and High School Commissioner and ask to be put on the waiting list. As openings occur, new players will be registered in the order their email was received by Mrs. Hickey. Players must be at least age 8 and may be not younger than second grade and not older than entering 10th grade."
